Eating well and Juicing smarter
It is never too early or too late in life to learn good and balanced eating habits. While juicing is a wonderful supplement and even a detox agent (Click here for Detox related reading) we would encourage you to eat a well balanced diet always.
- Remember that small meals taken regularly are better than long periods without food, followed by a heavy meal.
- Large rich meals late in the night should be avoided if possible, more so for elderly folks. Digesting a cooked meal in the middle of the day is easier on your body.

Having said that, for most of you healthier eating will simply be a matter of adjusting and balancing of what you already eat and drink. Here are a few tips on that.

- Eat more fiber in the form of fruit, vegetables and whole grains. Yes, we want to be honest that juicing alone will not give you this important component for good digestion and balancing your juicing diet.
- Cut down on fat. Choose lean meats & fish, drink skimmed milk and grill rather than fry foods.
- Eat less whites, particularly cut down on sugar and salt as much as possible. Choose low calorie drinks and unsweetened fruit juice. Try not to add sugar or salt to your juices, drinks, cereals etc. Avoid adding salt to your cooking where possible.
- Instead of cakes, biscuits, sweets or chocolates, try variety of fresh fruits or unsalted snacks as many times as possible.
